Things I’ve learnt in my early 20’s

Welcome 2024! As the new year starts I’ve decided to reflect on some things I’ve learnt in the last few years. We are forever learning and adapting to different phases and challenges in life, no one is perfect but we are all unique and I find that beautiful, if these lessons help your mindset for whichever phase you are in right now I’m glad :)

Things I’ve learnt in my early 20s (last few years)

1.     You are never going to feel fully ready so choose now

2.     Live for the present

3.     Practicing breath-work and mindfulness is not meant to be difficult/boring

4.     Food is fuel (if you eat well, you feel well, if you eat shit you feel shit)

5.     Balance and harmony– do not force things. (If you feel like you are forcing things reassess that area of your life)

6.     Start with your gut health

7.     Daily habits good or bad effect your long-term goals

8.     The way you speak to yourself creates your reality whether you like it or not

9.     If things are no longer serving you, let them go

10.  If it is meant to be it will be

11.  If you are doing things for external validation, you are not living YOUR life

Feed your Soul, don’t deprive it

Do you need to detox?

I understand that some of you may be wondering why drinking is available at my retreats. While I believe that detoxing is important for our overall health and well-being, my retreats are all about providing you with a breath of fresh air and giving you the chance to relax and recharge.

We want to create a getaway where you can learn how to make positive changes in your life that will help you achieve your future goals. We believe that progress happens gradually and going cold turkey from anything can be a short-term solution that doesn't necessarily lead to long-term success.

Living a healthy lifestyle is a journey, and it's important to enjoy the process and find joy in our daily lives. The progress we make in our health and fitness should be sustainable and not just a quick fix. My retreats are designed to show you that living a healthy life is achievable and not unrealistic. The experience is meant to reflect what your everyday life should look like, where you can strike a balance between taking care of yourself and enjoying the things that bring you happiness

While I'm all for detoxing and removing alcohol from our diets, the focus of this retreat is not on detoxing, but rather on how to live well and create a healthy balance in our lives. I believe that we can learn how to be proactive and overcome any obstacles that come our way in the future, so that we can lead a more fulfilling life. In the future, I will definitely be hosting a detoxing retreat, but for now, let's focus on how we can create balance in our lives and thrive in a healthy and sustainable way.
